MACON, Ga. (WGXA) - A suspected robber is in jail Sunday after accidentally shooting himself Saturday night.

According to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the McDonald's on Gray Highway around 11 p.m. Saturday night.

The release says witnesses told deputies a man came into the restaurant wearing a black and red wig. After asking for the manager, he showed them a gun and told them to take him to the back office and the safe.

While in there, the manager and another employee ran towards the front of the restaurant. They heard a gunshot from the back office. The suspect was then seen running towards the Baconsfield Business Center on North Avenue behind the McDonald's.
