Wet weather expected across Southwest Georgia this week
An area of disturbed weather in the Gulf of Mexico continues to bring several days of wet weather to Southwest Georgia.
The potential for tropical development has decreased to 10%. Development is not likely.
This feature will move inland Wednesday, bringing with it the highest chances for rain thus far this week.
Nuisance flooding will be possible, especially in urban and poor drainage areas. Training showers and storms will pose the greatest threat to flooding across the region.
Little change in the forecast rain accumulation. Additional totals of 2 to 4 inches of rain are generally expected with locally higher amounts possible through next Tuesday.
