Valdosta man turns himself in on murder charge

A man wanted for a weekend stabbing that left a man dead has turned himself in.

Investigators say that 53-year-old Emmitt Dennis died as the result of a stab wound Sunday morning at a home on Forrestwood Drive.

As a result of the investigation, investigators say that Dennis was involved in a physical altercation with 40-year-old Elijah Arnold.

Arrest warrants were issued for Arnold on charges of murder, aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a felony.

Arnold turned himself in to the Valdosta Police Department at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
