Severe weather threat & cooler temperatures heading for South Georgia
A weather system slated to impact South Georgia Wednesday could result in some severe weather.
All of South Georgia is at risk for thunderstorms, but areas northwest of the area could see some stronger storms.
Instability will be limited. As a result, the threat for thunder and lightning is reduced, but with added spin in the atmosphere, a minute threat for a tornado or damaging wind gusts is there.
By the end of the week another cold front will move through the area bringing another round of rain and a noticeable change in temperatures through Christmas day.
Flooding is not a concern with either system moving through the area.
