Community leaders need your help donating school supplies and uniforms for a "Back to School Bash" happening in Pelham later this month.

According to Program Coordinator Felisha Draggs, the annual bash will be an opportunity for parents and students to receive free school supplies and clothing items.

Draggs started the event 11 years ago when she worked at the school system.

The single mother of three says she realized the need was out there and wanted to do something to help.

"I mean I've just had a lot of people that wanted to give back and that's what I look at, the give back. A lot of time we're always holding our hand out for something but when we're actually giving back, it makes you feel a whole lot better than to be receiving," said Draggs.

This is the first year Draggs has partnered with the Pelham Chamber and Main Street to host the event.

If you have any used uniforms or school supplies, you can drop them off at the chamber or call Draggs directly at 229-319-6059.

The "Back to School Bash" will be held at Freedom Park Plaza on Saturday, July 21st from 8 a.m. until noon.

There is no fee to become a vendor.
