A local church made sure no one went hungry on Thursday.
The Saints of God House of Worship Church hosted a large Thanksgiving dinner for anyone in need Thursday afternoon.
According to Missionary Betty Wright, the church has been hosting a Thanksgiving celebration for the past twelve years and this is the ninth year they've served food at the Salvation Army.
Wright says her goal was to feed over 200 people.
Wright's husband, Frank, says it's all about giving back and helping those who need a warm meal.
"Our goal is to make sure that everyone that needs a meal and desires a meal has plenty to eat. In fact, we do that before we even eat ourselves. We want to see about the people before we take food ourselves," said Frank.
Meals included collard greens, corn bread, dressing and banana pudding.
The church plans to do another Thanksgiving dinner next year.
