Local fireworks store expecting big sales before holiday weekend
Fireworks are another part of the New Years celebration and Pyro Zone Fireworks are expecting big sales.
Store Owner Michael Pearlman opened the store the day after Christmas.
He says he has already seen a steady amount of people coming in to buy their fireworks before 2018.
Pearlman expects to see more customers Saturday and Sunday leading into the New Year.
He says he expects to get more sales this year since the holiday falls on a Sunday.
"Use common sense when your shooting fireworks. A lot of people you see, crazy people on youtube videos and other stuff where people try to do insane, silly stuff with fireworks. As long as you have a hard, flat surface, you don't want it to tip over. If it tips over, it's going to start shooting wherever it's aimed," said Pearlman.
On New Year's Eve, Pearlman will be shooting fireworks outside the store starting at 11:30 p.m.
If you plan on doing fireworks at home, you can use them until 1 a.m.
The 11 p.m. curfew for kids under 18 still applies.
