At a Tuesday morning city commission meeting, the Albany Police Department has reiterated that the curfew for juveniles will be in place for the summer.

Albany police instituted the curfew due to a rise in property crimes during the summer.

Sunday through Thursday, the curfew begins at 11 PM and ends at 6 AM. Fridays and Saturdays the curfew is 12 AM to 6 AM.

If Albany police find juveniles breaking curfew, the first contact is a warning. The second contact will result in a citation to the child and the parents.
