Murder suspect also charged with pizza delivery driver robbery

Taiun Davis / Dougherty County jail

Police say Friday's deadly shooting of a 14-year-old and Thursday's armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver are connected.

Friday police arrested 18-year-old Taiun Davis for the murder of James Anderson, but police then learned Davis may have been involved with the stick up of a Pizza Hut delivery driver hours before the murder.

"Our detectives obtained information that linked Davis to the armed robbery that occurred on Moultrie Road on Thursday of this week. As they further investigated the homicide they continued to gain information regarding additional suspects that pertained or were involved in the armed robbery," said Phyllis Banks of the Albany Police Department.

Police also arrested 17-year-old Dontavious Calloway and 26-year-old Jacqueline Calloway in connection with the robbery. Torand Jarrod Howard, 19, turned himself in to Albany law officials during the weekend.

Police are still looking for James Tanner Jr., who police believe is 20-years-old, in connection with the robbery.
