Several men in Southwest Georgia felt the burn Saturday morning after running a mile in heels.

They wore bright red heels all morning long for the annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event at Deerfield Windsor to benefit the Lily Pad.

FOX 31 talked to a few men and asked them how it was wearing high heels and they all said it's harder than they thought and they have more respect for the women who do wear them.

Organizers say this event is a chance for men to raise awareness about sexual violence in their community.

The Lily Pad is an organization helping victims of sexual assault and child abuse and their families.
