Local magnet school exceeds 100 percent on state test
Students in the Dougherty County School System performed extremely well during state wide testing earlier this year.
Students took the College and Career Ready Performance Index, CCRPI, and the results came back for 2017.
Robert Cross Magnet Middle School scored 101.5 percent.
Principal Thelma Chunn said technology, programs and activities can only take them so far. The support is what matters most.
“I attribute that to the hard work of our teachers using the best practices, looking at data to drive instruction to make an adjustment,” Chunn said. “Our students come to school every day ready and prepared to learn, and our parents supporting us in all that we do here in our school.”
The school is already brainstorming on ways to improve and reach next year’s test score goals.
