Lee County School System to host a job fair on Thursday
Lee County School System is hosting a job fair on Thursday to fill positions for the 2018-2019 school year.
The U.S. Department of Education confirms there is national shortage for educators. Lee County School System's Assistant Superintendent Kevin Dowling says one of the main reasons why is that many educators are retiring, but schools aren't finding enough replacements.
Lee County is doing something about it by hosting a job fair on Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at The Bindery at Oakland.
"We look forward to anybody from Pre-K to teaching high school, leadership, and counseling,” Dowling said. “Anything that you might do with education, we look forward to seeing you."
All you need to bring is your resume. You can sign up at the job fair or apply on their website.
Dowling says everyone doesn't have to be there at 5:30 p.m. You can drop in anytime between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
