Lawyers donate $10K to Lily Pad for new equipment
An Albany organization will soon have a new way to aid victims of sexual and physical abuse.
The Lily Pad SANE Center received a $10,000 donation on Tuesday from the Georgia Bar Foundation's Fellows Program.
Lily Pad Executive Director Mary Martinez-Allen said the money comes at just the right time, and they'll use it to buy an alternative light source.
"This light source will allow us to see bodily fluids, fibers, bruises, bite marks, anything similar to that that we would not be able to see with the naked eye," she said.
Martinez-Allen said having this technology will help Lily Pad with their cases and how those cases are prosecuted.
