Deb, owner of Deb's Curbside Cupcakes, took pleasure in making cupcakes for church events and for family and friends.

She thought it might be a good idea for extra income as she approaches retirement but the truck has exceeded her expectations.

She says, "We've been on the road for a year now i thought it was going to go really slow but it has exploded."

Currently Deb still works full time and does all the baking herself.

"It's a lot of hours, a lot of hard work but it's a lot of fun,"she adds.

Recently, Deb teamed up with three other food truck owners to put on Food Truck Central.

Big Willy's Seafood, Marco's Pizza and Taqueria Cruz set up their food trucks on Sylvester and Johnson roads every Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

She says they all met at the annual fair and the move has been great for business.

"Now that we've gotten together with other food truckers it's really taken off. I'm having a blast," Deb says.

The owner of the Marco's truck said Food Truck Central is good for the area.

Nathan Cruz, owner of Taqueria Cruz, says Food Truck Central gives people a different option for their lunch break.

As for Deb's, she says she wouldn't be where she is today without her customers.

She says, "We love our customers, they're just like family."
