High school students from all over Georgia are competing in a robotics competition in Albany.

Hundreds of kids and parents were in the Albany Civic Center for the FIRST Robotics Peachtree District Qualifier.

The three-day competition is sponsored by Procter & Gamble, the city of Albany, Georgia Power, Discover Albany, DCSS and many others.

FIRST Robotics educates students and helps them make connections with professionals in the STEM field.

"They're looking for talent in science, engineering and math and getting folks interested and involved and recognizing those skills at and early age is very important, because then with these robotics competitions, they can really work on these skills," said CEO of 4C Academy Chris Hatcher.

If you want to attend the robotics competition, it's free, open to the public, and goes until Saturday evening.
