February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Albany State University wants to make sure their students are aware of dating violence and what it entails.

According to ASU Title IX Coordinator Cadedria Hill, ASU and other universities do see dating violence.

Hill says the school tries to educate students by discussing warning signs and what to look for in a potentially abusive relationship.

According to Hill, educating students can curb the behavior and provide them with resources.

"We teach students a lot of behaviors to look out for such as extreme jealousy, insecurities, demeaning behaviors and possessiveness. If you don't stop the cycle, things will pile up," said Hill.

On Thursday February 8th, ASU students are invited to participate in a dating violence maze at the student center hosted by the Liberty House.
