Student loan debt won't be a problem for one Dougherty High School senior.

Carterion Whitlock is a senior and valedictorian at Dougherty High, and did dual enrollment at Albany State University.

He was accepted to more than 20 colleges and universities, and was awarded more than $1 million in scholarships.

He's been accepted to Georgia Institute of Technology, or Georgia Tech, University of Georgia, Vanderbilt University, and more.

Whitlock says he worked very hard to get to where he is now, and he wants more students at Dougherty High to succeed.

"It's not going to come easy,” he said. “You still have to work. You can dream all you want, but if you don't put in the work to get there, it's not going to happen."

Whitlock plans on going to Georgia Tech, and will major in mechanical engineering.
