Dougherty County schools still seeking address verification forms
Dougherty County schools have already opened their doors for the new year, but the school system said they still need to know where some students are living.
DCSS is looking for residency verification forms from families, especially those with high school seniors who used to be zoned for Albany High School but are now in a different school because of realignment.
If this applies to you, DCSS said there's still time to turn in your form. You can stop by their building at 200 Pine Avenue to fill it out over the next few days during business hours.
The school system said their goal is to get students into class as soon as possible.
"Every minute of instruction time is important, and all of our teachers are starting to emphasize, starting to really get in to their lesson plans and their curriculum, and so it's important for students to be in the classroom," DCSS Public Information Officer J.D. Sumner said.
