Lily Pad in Albany received $20,000 from New York Life, and officials said this money will help them continue to serve Albany.

The organization doesn't charge for any services to victims and is entirely sustained by grants, donations and support from southwest Georgia.

"If we don't continue to have community support, we can't continue to serve our victims, especially not 24/7," said Executive Director Mary Martinez-Allen.

The money will also go toward programs to teach those in the community about sexual abuse prevention and awareness.

Lily Pad is an organization that helps victims of sexual abuse recover. Martinez-Allen said they serve about 400 kids and 120 adults per year.
