The coroner in Crisp County says he has seen an increase in drug related deaths over the past few months.

According to Coroner JD Rainey, there have already been four suspected deaths due to drug use in the months of October and November alone.

Rainey says the usual number of drug related deaths isn't usually more than 6 to 10 a year.

To date, there have been six drug related deaths in Crisp County.

Rainey wants people to know, it's not too late to quit and change your behavior.

"Don't use them. I mean it's just plain and simple. I know they are addictive but the only way anyone ever gets off of them is to make up their mind to do it. Like smoking and anything else, you've got to make up your mind to want to quit," said Rainey.

Rainey says it is usually pretty common to see clumps of like deaths from time to time.
