DAWSON, Ga. (WFXL) — Students at Cooper-Carver Elementary School in Terrell County got to learn about different career fields on Friday.
Third through fifth graders heard from the Dawson Police Department, Terrell County Sheriff's Office, Dawson Fire Department, the Red Cross, Proctor and Gamble and even FOX 31.
The career fair is held every year at the elementary school.
Assistant Principal Kareem Sanders says it's all about exposing kids at a young age to different career fields.
He says he hopes students left the career fair feeling excited about their future.
"We really pride ourselves here at Cooper-Carver off exposure and experience and providing those students that opportunity to really set the stage for what they have to look forward to once they transition into life," said Sanders.
If you're an organization that's interested in being apart of the career fair next year, you can reach out to Parent Facilitator Allison Morman at the school.
Sanders says the school is always looking for exciting jobs to show students.
