Concerned citizen's call to law enforcement leads to arrest in Worth County

On Thursday, the Worth County Sheriff's Office responded to an address on North Monroe Street in Sylvester in reference to suspected illegal drugs discovered by a concerned citizen.

Upon sheriff's office deputies arriving on scene, a quantity of suspected marijuana, hashish, power cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, hydrocodone pills, xanax pills and digital scales were discovered.

As a result, Carlton Dewayne Carroll and Robert Carroll of Sylvester were arrested Thursday.

A third person is currently being sought regarding the illegal narcotics.

Carlton and Robert Carroll are currently in the Worth County Jail facing charges of Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Schedule II (Hydrocodone) with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Schedule IV (Xanax) with the Intent to Distribute and Possession of a Schedule I (Hashish) with the Intent to Distribute.

According to the Worth County Sheriff's Office, these illegal drugs were possessed within 1,000 feet of Housing Authority property and charges will be added to that as well.

This case is still active and Narcotics Agents are currently following up on additional leads.
