There has been a steady stream of supports at the Chick-fil-A on Dawson Road. Patrons we spoke to say they support Chick-fil-A's values and right to express those values.

The VP of marketing for Chick-fil-A, Steve Robinson, released a statement saying, "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day was not created by Chick-fil-A. We appreciate all of our customers and are glad to serve them at any time...The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect â"regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender."

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation says that opponents of "Chick-fil-A appreciation day" plan to stage a same-sex kissing demonstration this Friday in the restaurants.
