Wallace is now facing murder charges.

Original story:

A man accused of stabbing a 61-year-old man at least 17 times has been arrested by Albany police.

Officers say that Jamerson Wingfield was stabbed with a screw driver just before 7 a.m. at a residence on West Lincoln Avenue January 6.

Wingfield was playing dominoes with 54-year old Steve Kenneth Wallace according to witnesses. Both men went to the kitchen and Wallace left shortly after when two witnesses heard Wingfield cry out that he'd been hurt.

Neither witness knew Wallace's full name, but officers say they were given a name by a concerned citizen and after following up with that lead, were able to figure it out.

Wallace was located Friday morning at a home on West Second Avenue.
