The City of Albany is closing an alley for nearly three weeks for sewer projects and traffic will be controlled for nearby streets.
City officials say that the alley located west of Hobson Street will be closed starting Monday.
The contractor for the project, Gulf Coast Underground, will begin traffic control on Saturday 2/23 to slow and restrict travel on Hobson Street, Village Street, and Swift Street.
The alley closure is needed to give access to contractor's trucks working on the Eastside Sanitary Sewer Interceptor project.
The alley will reopen and traffic control will cease on March 8.
