According to Where to Retire Magazine, the Good Life City is ranked as one of the top low-cost cities to retire in.

Where to Retire said Albany embraces its southern charm and has popular attractions.

Albany Convention and Visitors Bureau said the City is attractive because it’s between beaches and mountains.

Rashelle Beasley said Albany has great shopping and dining locations to help improve the quality of life.

"It does have the home feel,” Beasley said. “When people move here, both young and older, they get that feeling of a sense of place when they come here."

Beasley adds some of the top attractions include the Flint Riverquarium, Chehaw Park, Albany Civil Rights Institute and the Albany Museum of Art.
