Albany family loses everything in flood, doesn't have flood insurance
An Albany family of four is still working to put their lives back together after losing everything they had in the flood that happened eight days ago.
Ciarra Arline, mother and homeowner, said she lost all her furniture, clothes, two personal cars and her husband work car.
She said she doesn't have flood insurance because she didn't live in a flood watch zone.
Arline adds her family only had time to stuff a few items in a bag before rushing out the door.
She said with Christmas a few weeks away, she doesn't know where to go from here.
"It was my son's first Christmas,” Arline said. “My four-year-old is wondering if they're going to have Christmas, when can they go home, if Santa [Claus] is going to come see her still. It's hard to deal with because my four-year-old doesn't understand what's going on. Right now, we're just trying to take it one day at a time."
Arline said she's currently staying with family, and she wants to move out of the area.
