Albany downtown building gets a new face
Driving through downtown Albany, you may have noticed an old building is taking a new face.
Chris Johnson was asked by William Hancock with Webb Properties, to paint a mural on a bare white building the company owns.
The building sits on the corner on Oglethorpe and Jefferson .
Hancock expressed his vision for the mural. Hancock wanted the mural to have a strong agricultural theme, an exchange between two farmers and the Flint River.
The artist says in the short time that he's been working on the painting he's already received a lot of feedback. Johnson says, "A lot of people get to see it and a bunch of people have been coming through and telling me how happy they are it's happening or how they like it or how this building needed something and how they wish there was actually more of it."
