After being pushed back two weeks due to weather, Lorie Farkas is excited to finally put on the Albany Christmas parade.
The parade will start at 6 p.m. Saturday with the Christmas Village open from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m.
This year, there are a few additions.
"We have some exciting news. We will have fireworks to kick the parade off," Farkas says. "We think our community needs a little Christmas and we sure need a boost after all the rain, and of course Hurricane Michael."
This is the first time in 28 years the parade has been moved.
