Albany Chamber shows appreciation for legislators
The Albany-Area Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Legislators Appreciation dinner that happens after the legislation session.
Gerald Greene, Winfred Dukes, Ed Rynders and Freddy Powell Sims are the delegates that attended.
President and CEO Barbara Rivera-Holmes says the Chamber recognizes the achievements made at the capital, and it's important to look at the work the delegates made for the state and this community.
"The work that is performed at the capital in Atlanta doesn't happen in a vacuum,” she said. “It happens through the engagement of our chamber of commerce with the delegation. It happens through the engagement of our business and our memberships with our leadership."
That work includes a new tax plan, educational funding, workforce and economic development and more.
