Dougherty County students have an exciting opportunity to learn about getting college credit while still in high school on Thursday.

The 4C Academy will be hosting an information session for students who are interested in receiving college credit.

According to 4C Academy CEO Chris Hatcher, the session is primarily for rising seniors who are interested in receiving college credit.

Hatcher says students will be able to graduate with a high school diploma and a technical college certificate in five different areas of study.

The best part is, it just takes a year.

"In a year's time they can get a technical college certificate, they can get their high school diploma and also take advantage of our professional and soft skills program at the 4C Academy," said Hatcher.

The session will be held at 4C Academy at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
