30 years brings new additions at Taste of Sumter
The city of Americus is getting ready for Magnolia Manor Taste of Sumter on Saturday.
There will be vendors scattered along downtown Americus to celebrate the 30 year tradition.
The day-long event cost five dollars for adults and three dollars for students.
The Taste of Sumter will take place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Attendees can expect many additions to the celebration.
1800 Mexican Restaurant in Americus says if you come out tomorrow, you won’t be disappointed. They’ll offer tacos, nachos and burritos for fewer than five dollars.
Logan Falkosky, a server at the restaurant says people can expect, “A lot of great food, great time, great atmosphere, a lot of good music playing at the same time and just overall a good time.”
Patrick Kay, the director of Main Street, said, "One thing that's new this year is we're going to have adult beverages here. We're partnering with 13 colony which is our local distillery in town as well as wolf creek Plantation which is a vineyard in town."
The theme of the Taste of the Sumter is 30 on the 30th.
