Brian Kemp spoke about his office's investigation Monday on the Democratic Party of Georgia in connection with an attempted hack of Georgia's voter registration system.
Kemp says he is treating this like any other investigation.
"We're handling this cyber incident like we would handle any other cyber incident, as you know that's a very serious thing that we deal with and our office, we fight to protect our systems, our systems are safe and secure," said Kemp.
Specifically, Kemp was in Albany for a different reason. Kemp offered his condolences for those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Michael.
"Many parts of south Georgia is in our thoughts and prayers as people are still recovering from the devastating storm," said Kemp.
