National signing day has passed, but there are still plenty of high school football players looking for a place to continue their careers. Westover's Brenton Wimberly found a home on Wednesday.
Wimberly chose Georgia Military College over Albany State and Clark Atlanta. He opted to go the junior college route because of his desire to play Division-1 football.
Wimberly played defensive end during his senior year at Westover, but will move to inside and outside linebacker as a Bulldog. He knows moving to a new position has challenges, but he's already pinpointed areas for improvement.
"Making plays in open space," Wimberly said. "Taking correct angles to make tackles."
Patriots' coach Octavia Jones said more Westover seniors are expected to sign in the coming weeks.
