Westover's Trent Thompson is an attractive recruit in the eyes of college football programs. Georgia and Clemson showed where their priorities lie on Wednesday.
Georgia's Mark Richt and Clemson's Dabo Swinney visited Westover to talk with coaches and make their presence felt with the prized athlete. The junior defensive lineman is rated as a five-star recruit in all the major databases.
"It says a lot when the head football coach comes to visit you at your school," said Westover head coach Octavia Jones. "That lets him know the commitment that they're making to try to get him to attend their university."
Thompson's offseason will be spent working out and assessing his college options. Right now, he's preparing for the Junior Bowl on December 31st.
