The Westover Patriots and the Valdosta Lady Wildcats seized the momentum at the Westover Relays Friday.

The Westover boys piled up enough points to hold off Bainbridge and win their host meet for the third straight time, seventh in the meet's history.
Westover Relay Notables
Dougherty's Quannesha Gatling scored 28 points for the Lady Trojans winning the triple jump and the 400m dash. Gatling placed second in the long jump.
Westover's Chris O'Neal and Don Mills went back to back in the shot put finishing first and second respectively.
Westover's Ericka Taylor swept the 3200 meter run and the 1600 meter run. Taylor nearly lapped some runners in 1600 meter finishing at five minutes and 38 seconds.
The Tift County and Westover boys finished third and fourth respectively in the 4x100 meter relay.
Lee County's Holly Ebbets matched the meet record in the pole vault at 11'6" for a first place finish.
The Monroe Lady Tornadas finished second in the 4x100 meter relay. Valdosta notched first place in the event.
