Westover baseball player Josh Black spent a lot of time thinking about his college decision. Any decision Black made, as one of the state's best outfielders, he was setting a new mark for the Patriots baseball program.
Black signed with Georgia Southern becoming the first NCAA- Division I baseball signee in Westover history according to school officials.
Black's offensive prowess will make people stop and watch, holding a .650 batting average (over .700 slugging percentage). However, it's the center fielder's range in the outfield that makes the Patriot senior a standout player.
"I put a lot of work in...long days, long nights, early mornings just working out hard. Being close to the top now...it's a blessing," Black said.
