This season's matchup between Westover and Lee County was already big. But now, it's even bigger.

The Patriots and Trojans will square off on August 23rd at 1 P.M. in Leesburg, and the game will be shown on ESPNU. It's part of a weekend-long rollout of games by ESPN's family of networks.

"It's really bigger than Westover and Lee County," said Patriots' coach Octavia Jones. "It's a Southwest Georgia thing now.

Westover defensive lineman Trent Thompson is currently ranked first in the ESPN300 recruiting rankings for the class of 2015. But this game isn't about one player; it's about two very good football teams. Both programs won region titles in 2013.

While the Patriots are excited, Dean Fabrizio's kids at Lee County are just as pumped up for the opener in August.

"It's a once in a lifetime opportunity for all those involved," Jones said.

The two teams have faced each other in each of the last two seasons, with Lee County winning both matchups.
