Tift County hoops reloads for another run

One of the most prominent basketball programs in South Georgia is the Tift County Blue Devils. But sometimes, even the best teams have to reload.

Head coach Eric Holland is trying to replace Kansas Jayhawk Brannen Greene and Donell Tuff, who went to Gardner-Webb. The Blue Devils will be led by guard Tadric Jackson, a Georgia Tech commitment. But they will need contributions from a number of other players as well.

This week marks the first practices of the 2013-2014 season. The focus has been on fundamentals, like boxing out and communication. But for Tift County basketball, the lofty expectations never waver.

"The goal is the same for us every year," Holland said. "Our goal is to win it all. We practice to win, and we play to win."
