Terrell County football has preached conditioning this offseason.
Riding plenty of experience, the Greenwave need their seniors to shine on both sides of the ball- often playing both ways.
A bright spot for Terrell has been the play of senior quarterback Jerkerious Scott. Starting in all four seasons, Scott is running the option with solid support behind three veteran offensive linemen.
With that leadership (and a wide open A-Region 1 race), the optimism is flowing through the Greenwave.
"We expect to be in the mix, right in the middle of it. We feel we have as good a chance as anybody to step up and win this region. But it's going to take a lot of work...we got a lot of ballgames to play," Terrell Head Coach William Huff said.
"We really worked hard in the weight room, so there are high expectations for us. We want the region (title) so we've got to go after it," Scott said.
Terrell County returns seven starters on offense, six on defense from a 3-7 2011 season. The team opens with Marion County on August 31.
