Terrell Academy tries to bounce back

It was a bad start to the 2013 season for Terrell Academy. Now, it's time to right the ship.

Terrell Academy was upset by Tiftarea Academy on Friday night, 39-28. Even though the offense racked up over 500 yards of total offense, the Eagles fell behind early and gave up too many big plays in the disappointing loss.

Terrell Academy lost a number of starters on both sides of the ball, so improving on last season's 6-5 record may be difficult. They'll try to rebound against Windsor Academy on September 6th.

Moving forward, it's back to the basics for Head Coach Bill Murdock's boys. They will stress the fundamentals, such as blocking and tackling, as they get closer to region play.

"We're not really experienced," Murdock said. "But our kids have really worked hard and they've picked up what we're doing in our system and they're playing hard and getting better every day."
