Southland Academy baseball is just two wins away from competing for a state championship.
The Raiders begin their GISA 3-A series on Saturday at Tattnall Square, the defending champions.
"We're still the underdogs, no doubt about it," said head coach John Brady. "But we've played well in this role all year. We've got a scrappy bunch. I believe in them."
Southland was red hot over the second half of the season, and then continued that in the first two rounds with wins over Bulloch and Loganville Christian.
Now, they're a team with nothing to lose.
"We're going to go to Macon and see what happens," Brady said.
