Jeremy Davidson, head coach of the boys' soccer team, will lead a group of students and soccer players to the Netherlands for a nine-day mission trip. They'll aid a former Sherwood Christian teacher in his ministry there. It will be the school's first mission trip to that country.

The head coach of the girls' team, Jason Schultz, will lead a group of nine soccer players and students to the impoverished country of Uganda for two weeks. Sherwood partners with a Christian school there and it will be the fourth mission trip to the African nation.

It's quite an experience for the Sherwood Christian soccer players, who leave on Sunday.

"They've seen poverty. They've seen what real life is like. They realize that material possessions really don't matter in life," Schultz said. "It's life changing."
