High school football playoffs don't start until next week, but they are already in full swing for some local youngsters.
The South Georgia Sting, a Pop Warner football club based in Albany, won conference championships at three out of four levels on Saturday. Now, the junior pee-wees and junior midgets head to Jacksonville for the regional first round this weekend.
Plenty of work goes into making the Sting a success. Like in high school, the team watches film and even has position coaches.
If either team wins three more games, they'll be in Orlando at Disney World for the national championships. But they have to get by this round first.
"We're looking forward to this weekend," said Sting commissioner Ivory Williams. "It's gonna be a big game."
