South Georgia Pop Warner teams and the Marine Corps came together for a little football on Saturday morning.
Colonel Don Davis worked with local Pop Warner leaders to bring a slate of Saturday morning games to the base in Albany. The games began at 10 a.m.
The Marines looked at it as an opportunity to reach out to the community.
"We've got this opportunity for folks to play on great fields in a secure environment where kids can learn life lessons," Davis said. "It's extremely important, especially in a community like Albany and Dougherty County and the greater Southwest Georgia area."
