The Albany Panthers have announced that they have re-signed twelve players from last season's team.
The list of returnees includes wide receiver John Harris, linebacker Larry Edwards, and former Albany State defensive back Demetrie McCray.
General manager Will Carter and head coach Lucious Davis will continue to scout talented football players to fill out the roster by the time training camp rolls around. Carter said the Panthers will invite 35 to 40 guys to camp before settling on a 25 man roster.
"We'll continue to recruit," Carter said.
Albany's goal is to return to championship form after a mediocre season in 2013. Davis thinks the returning Panthers are good group to build around.
"It's easy to build a team when you have a core group of guys," Davis said. "All you have to do is plug in pieces."
