NGA Tour moves from Tifton to Albany

The NGA Pro Golf Tour stopped at Spring Hills in Tifton last week. This week, it remains in Southwest Georgia.

Day one of the NGA Tour Classic got underway on Thursday at Stonebridge Country Club in Albany. The sun was out, but the temperatures and wind affected play, particularly the short game.

"Since the winds picked up its dried them out pretty well," said golfer Ken Looper on Stonebridge's greens. "So the greens are rolling really quickly."

Auburn, Alabama native Andrew Medley has an early lead after shooting a 66 on the day. Sonny Skinner of Sylvester shot a two-under in round one.

There will be a cut after round two on Friday.
