With football season reaching the end of their schedules, basketball coaches are taking a good look at the start of theirs as high school basketball season has finally started practice.
Although it is still to early to tell who will be big time region contenders, it's never to early to start the training.
It does, however make it difficult for some coaches to get a good look at their future team because most of them are playing football.
Albany High School head coach Archie Chatmon is already taking a look at some new young talent.
Chatmon says "most of the kids out on the court right now I have never seen play, so getting started early helps, because it gives you a chance to see who is the next diamond in the rough."
At the moment, basketball practices are mostly focused on conditioning and seeing who has what it takes to become the newest member of the varsity squad.
