Monroe defensive tackle Brentavious Glanton looked for a family atmosphere during his search for the right college football program. He found it at Georgia Tech.
Glanton announced his commitment to the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday in front of family and friends at Monroe High.
The senior also visited Tennessee, but felt that Tech was the right fit academically and athletically. He established a good relationship with defensive line coach Mike Pelton, and he feels he really fits in with the program's defensive scheme.
Glanton is thrilled to be taking his talents to the ACC.
"I plan on playing right away," Glanton said. "Hopefully I'll help lead the team in tackles, sacks, tackles for loss."
