Region champions have been crowned.
In 2A-1, Pelham's teams took care of business on their home floor. The boys' team won, 81-33, to finish their region slate unbeaten. The Lady Hornets dominated Early County, 74-30. Both teams will be one seeds in the state tournament.
In 4A-1, the Westover girls but a serious scare into Monroe, who was undefeated in region play prior to Friday night's championship. But a Keshaundra Price floater and a foul with 5.5 seconds won it for the Lady Tornadoes, 37-34.
In the boys' game, Westover outlasted Worth County, 61-50. Crisp County won both third place games. The Dougherty girls and Albany boys will be four seeds.
In 5A-1, Lee County's boys advanced in their tournament with a 62-57 over Harris County.
In 6A-1, Tift County took care of Brunswick, 66-59.
